The Rengani family, originally from Lenasia, made Thembelihle their home 30 years ago. With four children and four adults in the household, the family faces significant challenges. Sadly, all the adults are unemployed, and they depend on government grants to survive.

Mount Olive Outreach has had the privilege of supporting this resilient family in many ways. We first helped Angela with her Early Childhood Development (ECD) enrolment, and we were overjoyed when she graduated from our program last year. We also assisted with her Grade 1 enrolment at Zodiac Primary School and made sure she received daily, nutritious meals to fuel her growth.

When we discovered that the mother, Sheila, was struggling to care for her family due to illness and unemployment, we knew we had to step in. We provided food parcels to make sure they were never hungry, and we offered Sheila the support she needed to stay on track with her medication. We also gave her the emotional support she deserved.

Today, Sheila’s health has improved significantly, and she expresses deep gratitude for the difference our support has made. She says that because of our programs, she can rest easy, knowing her children are safe, well-fed, and cared for, while also staying on top of their health.

With your continued generosity, we are committed to providing the Rengani family with:

  1. Early Childhood Development enrolment for the children.

  2. Grade 1 enrolment for Angela.

  3. Ongoing ART adherence support.

  4. Daily, nourishing meals.

  5. Educational support for the youngest children in the family.

Sheila has shared how our support has transformed her family’s life, giving her peace of mind and allowing her to focus on her recovery, knowing her children are well cared for.

We are truly proud to announce that Mount Olive Outreach will continue to walk alongside the Rengani family, helping them thrive and ensuring they stay healthy and strong. Your support is not just changing lives – it is giving hope for a brighter future.
