We are thrilled to share a heartwarming success story that showcases the power of community support and generosity. Zanele Ncala, a 33-year-old mother of six boys, has faced many challenges, including the devastating loss of her home in Lehae to a fire in 2020. Along with her house, she lost her identity documents, leaving her with even greater hurdles.
Zanele, who is unemployed and solely relies on social grants to care for her family, has shown incredible resilience despite these hardships. Thanks to the unwavering support of our amazing donors from Stichting Opstap and the dedicated staff members of Khaya Centre, we are proud to announce that Zanele’s home has been fully restored.
This achievement is a testament to the kindness and compassion of everyone involved. Together, we have not only rebuilt her physical space but also helped in retrieving all the identity documents lost.
